Pan Carbon Felt, also known as Polyacrylonitrile, is designed and used for high-temperature insulation in vacuum furnaces and inert gas furnaces, among other applications. Pan has courser fibers, larger fiber diameter, lower surface area and better oxidation resistance in comparison to Rayon. Pan carbon is rated to a temperature of 2192℉ | 1200℃.
